Client: Pennsylvania Institute of Technology

Context: One of the selling points at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is completing programs in less time than most traditional colleges. Course work is condensed into 11 weeks terms with 4 terms a year. Because of this, most courses are extremely lecture heavy with no opportunities for student interaction to ensure all content is covered.

Challenges: The institute had set a college wide goal of increase student engagement and active learning within their virtual, hybrid, and in-person courses. After student surveys within the Physical Therapy Assistant program, one area of concern was this course has slide decks that are cluttered and difficult to follow during lectures in the most content-heavy courses.

Solutions: This slide deck was developed as part of a full course redesign. It was redesigned to be part of the course lectures that coincide with the Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Results: This slide deck was redesigned to contain consistent formatting, only the most necessary text, and images connected to the content.
